Tasman is a medium leaved variety, especially selected for its high persistency and excellent tolerance to winter.
High dry matter yield
Tasman has an aggressive growth habit which gives the variety high competition ability to grasses resulting in high annual dry matter yields.
Controlled spring growth
In general, the start of the spring growth of white clover is very slow. In grass clover swards the clover content therefore is usually unsatisfactory due to the lack of competition ability with grasses. Tasman however, has a normal spring growth and therefore the variety is capable to give good clover content in the sward at the first spring cut.
Tasman has increased stolon density, giving it excellent persistency under intensive grazing management and a good level of persistency in long term used pastures. Tasman shows excellent winter hardiness.
Tasman combines a high level of resistance to clover rot (Sclerotinia) and slug damage.
