Bargizmo is an intermediate heading diploid perennial ryegrass, which is listed in Germany since 2013. This Barenbrug variety can be characterized by its outstanding persistency and performance under harsh conditions. It has been tested in many areas with extreme conditions, proving Bargizmo’s ability to survive and adapt. An excellent winterhardiness and disease resistance makes sure its forage productivity is ensured on the long-term.
Bargizmo shows to produce a healthy crop, with an excellent resistance to diseases. Besides a higher forage quality and palatability, this means grass production can continue leading to significant higher total yields. Bargizmo is a perfect component in grass mixtures for both grazing- as cutting management. Trials from Barenbrug Research have shown that in combination with a late tetraploid, such as Barpasto or Meltador, the most powerful mixture can be composed.
